  Against this background of the past, we see that some well-known quarters in Iran still hesitate to visit Baghdad and Kerbela', now that such a visit has been made possible to those who want to make it peacefully, as the people of Baghdad and Kerbela' have accepted that with their own free will.

  We call to memory the significance of the Revolution on the occasion of its birthday, as a revolution of a new and special style, as a beam of brilliant light that dismisses darkness, God willing; now that any one who believes in it and its course has been liberated from the slavery of impossibility and unfeasibility and has become free in mind, conscience, programme and objectives in this age, and now that the people of Iraq and its leading party have pronounced in one resounding voice: "Perish be the Impossible", to build, construct and plant the sublime morals and the highest values in the conscience as well as in the mind, so that the zeal may, without the slightest hesitation, overflow onto their fields, and that the sun may rise, yet never set, on the flagpole bearing "God is Most Great", a banner that has embodied the relationship between what is on earth, the Lord of Heavens and Earth and the role of Man, the great and free in his land which is the cradle of early civilizations and first calls for unity of God, and the relationship with the Lord of the World, such calls which freed the Nation from the burden of idols and the intermediaries between the Merciful Lord and Man, the faithful, heedful, true and trustworthy, and capable by the will of God.

  We say to the Arabs and friends, and by so doing we will exasperate our enemies and please our friends and brothers: the reason behind all that took place against Iraq and its revolution is that Iraq made its choice on the national, pan-Arab, and international levels when its great faith reached its summit, to be totally free , to play its role and to be firmly settled on its route. :: rev

  What is new and more significant is not the thought of the revolution as a starting-point of change, nor its objectives of unity, freedom and socialism, but its seriousness and honesty: the Revolution has risen from a people known historically of its deep seriousness, a people that has always exceeded what is conventional and common of thoughts, programmes and attempts, and has always aspired after what is more supreme, more developed, greater, deeper and more comprehensive.

  When the Iraqis were freed from the weakness which afflicted some segments of the Nation, Faw was liberated, as was every part of Iraq usurped by the Iranians and on which calculations of their known illusion were built.
