ABOUT HOPE

  A strong, believing and healthy Iraq was born. But the birth, as all other births which came before it in the horizon of humanity and in our nation, was not able to render ineffectual the croak of ravens, nor the hissing of snakes or the crossing of far crocodiles from the seas of their family in order to help the beasts of earth in their attack against the sun, in a desperate hope to obscure its light which radiated from Baghdad or to shed the blood of its people in a fake hope and out of an imagination that the generous blood shed on the soil of Baghdad and on the soil of Iraq could hinder the plants and trees from becoming green, from blossoming and from carrying with its fragrance pollens which might tempt the appetite of butterflies, and thus be able to carry with the news of new faith and resolution, with the dew and tears, a pollen to every tree whose branches and leaves become dry or ceased to give fruits now that the water ceased to reach its roots and was confident that no one could take care of its fruits and guard its plants, trees and growth.

  After having dismissed what is false in what has been presented to us as hopes to build upon, we have nothing before us but to keep on the path we have taken and cling to the spirit of fortitude and endurance we have been upholding in our state of becoming. :: 000106.

  By exercising a limited yet escalating role, Man has realized that he is incapable of absolute perception or comprehension, and with such an incapability despite the progress achieved by his mind and capabilities, Man has encountered a human need to make up for his despair of being incapable of absolute comprehension to keep the thought and hope living, to develop his mind, taste, role and endeavour in an incessant manner except at the divine ordinance which God of the absolute comprehension, Most Great, Most Capable, Most Compassionate and Most Merciful, has cared for Man's incapability so as to salvage him from despair and to preserve an inevitable, moral basis for his progress and development.

  By God, indeed, it is an eternal, humane day; and everything, which is dissociated with or contrary to it, is hopeless and cursed.

  Concomitant with the above, a thought and a hope were initiated: a thought that exceeds what is visible and tangible, and a hope based on the potentiality of achieving whatever is relevant to them or bridging them by working programmes.

  Concomitant with this too, there appeared people who stood opposing the thought and the hope.

  Despite all reiterative calls, before and after the encounter, for deliberation and detachment from the motives and spots of evil and despite all appeals for peace released by Iraq from the highest and various levels, the slogans, drums and guns of aggression and war had persisted beside the slogans of hopeless, greedy ambitions which were all defeated.

  God has honoured our nation after the close of the era of prophethood and humanitarian messages by making the particu, having been minutely perceived, a starting-point towards the general and its right thought and towards a parallel great hope whose programmes have been subjected to test daily as a pronouncement that implementation is possible by relying on God and the ardour of noble Iraqis, the great example, and by the firm support of the sons of our glorious faithful nation as well as all friends in the world at large.

  He had planted in their souls, conscience and minds the hope of firm conviction and great faith that both thought and hope are applicable and spreadable, as they should and as God, glory be to Him permits.

  Hopeless indeed will be their presumptions, and surely evil are the things they have been doing.

  However, we neither come closer to Whom we so hope, 0nor He comes closer to us, unless we become a living part of the Arab collective conscience, and unless these considerations become the obsession of all of us, rather than the gratification or non-gratification of this or that of the nation's enemies and those who underestimate its capability. :: 980717

  Why was Baghdad destroyed in 1258 A.D? Why was Babylon destroyed in 539 B.C?
